Spun Yarn Prices in China (Biweekly Report)

Spun yarn prices generaly rose in the past two weeks in China. Viscose and polyester yarn prices surged, in line with a sharp increase in prices of staple fibers. Cotton yarn prices were mixed with lower counts remaining unchanged, under pressure from larger yarn imports and lower cotton prices. Combed yarns of higher counts better resisted, as reflected by our statistical tables.
