HOW DOES FLOCKING WORK?
At the American Flock Association we generally classify flock processing into the following categories, although there are many more possibilities:
Roll-To-Roll Flocking - Coating the surface of a continuous roll of textile, paper, or plastic. Markets for roll-to-roll flocking include upholstery, packaging, carpeting, wallcoverings, apparel, decorative products, automotive, etc. |
Object Flocking - Coating the surface of a 2 or 3-Dimensional object such as a plastic or metal part. Markets for object flocking include automotive, consumer products, cosmetics, computer parts, etc. |
Automotive Flocking - Coating the surface of a 2 or 3-Dimensional object such as a plastic or metal part used in the automotive industry. |
Graphics - Coating all or part of the surface of a material with visual content. Markets for graphics flocking include floor mats, greeting cards, children抯 art materials, point of purchase displays, etc. |
